Schumacher woke from coma to turn off Phil Neville commentary

Michael Schumacher emerged from his coma yesterday. However, we have discovered that the driving ace first showed signs of life last Saturday night.

Apparently, he reached out from his hospital bed to turn the volume down on the BBC’s coverage of England vs Italy.

We understand that Schumacher’s family have been keeping some sort of noise going in his room, just in case he could hear.

“He’s listened to stuff on Radio 4, like the Shipping Forecast, Woman’s Hour and even Gardener’s Question Time, for hours on end.” A nurse told us.

“That didn’t seem to be a problem. In fact, I’d say Michael enjoyed it.”

“But Phil Neville was obviously just a little bit too much, even for someone in a coma.”
