Mystery Cat Shaver Operating in Southport, Warn Police

shaved cat southportSouthport pet owners have been asked to be extra vigilant over the coming weeks, as detectives try to solve the mystery of the shaved cats.

It sounds too strange to be true, but cats in the Southport area are literally having their fur shaved off by a mysterious assailant.

“We do have one key suspect we’d like to talk to.” A spokesperson for Merseyside Police told us this morning.

“The woman, who we can’t name for legal reasons, was involved in a similar incident a few years ago. That time, however, she was targeting a certain spotty breed of dog.”

“We advise all owners to temporarily dye their cats purple or orange, which could make them unsuitable targets for our main suspect.”
