Southport Pleasureland today announced ‘massive’ plans for expansion with the official unveiling of its latest attraction, ‘The Death-Defying Mega Bounce 2000!’
Southport’s very own theme park now boasts three ‘fun zones’ for the whole family, as the ‘The Death-Defying Mega Bounce 2000!’ joins the ‘Hook a Duck’ and the candy floss machine (Wednesdays and Saturdays only).
Chief executive of Pleasureland, Arthur Rimmer, told us that this new attraction took them one step further towards breaking the dominance of Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Alton Towers in the North West.
“Why drive for hours and lay out a fortune on tickets, just to spend half the day queuing, when there is a world of wonder and excitement right on your doorstep?” he asked.
“The Death-Defying Mega Bounce 2000! fits up to six at a time (max. ride height 4’3”, no shoes or socks). And as there are never any queues, an all-day wristband usually gets you at least 32 goes on the ‘The Death-Defying Mega Bounce 2000!’ and 27 prizes from the Hook a Duck Megamaster.
We at The Southport Times encourage all our readers to support their local fairground!
