As a part of an exciting and ambitious new cultural exchange program between the two West Lancashire villages, Mabel the donkey will make the switch from Banks to Hesketh Bank until the end of 2021.
Voted Banks’ “Ass of the Year” for the last four years in a row, Mabel is sure to be a smash hit with locals.
“Unfortunately, we need Mabel back by next Christmas, to star in the nativity.” A Banks spokesperson told us this morning. “Until then, I hope they get as much of a kick out of her as we did.”
