The fighting world was shaken to its core today, as two blokes who’ve never really had much to do with each other suddenly remembered that they had a deep and bitter long-running feud that could only be settled by a fight to the death.
Coincidentally, this newfound animosity emerged just as very expensive tickets went on sale for their upcoming bout.
To make matters worse, an event earlier today to promote the upcoming bout nearly spilled over into bloodshed. Luckily, a 5’6″ 130lb official was on hand to force the two giant trained killers apart – and keep the violence down to levels acceptable enough to be shown on the news and in promotional TV clips.
We spoke to casual fan, Geoff Rimmer from Southport, who told us that he generally preferred it when fighters acted professionally, sharing a healthy mutual respect and grudging admiration of one another’s athletic ability.
“However, now I know that they really, really don’t like each other very much it’s definitely worth staying up Saturday night and shelling out thirty quid on the pay-per-view.” He remarked.
